PocketNester features two major improvements: it supports more games, and runs much faster. It is about 3-4 times faster than original nesterce and many other NES emulators on PocketPC.
Most games run at about 30-50 FPS on a 200Mhz XScale device. That means you can get full speed emulation (60 FPS) with 206Mhz StrongARM/400Mhz XScale PocketPCs.

Source code of PocketNester is distributed under GNU Generic Public License(GPL).

PocketNester is the only emulator I was ever able to get working. For me I had to make sure the rom files were not ziped up or the program would not see them, when you go to load the roms. Make it simple put them in the same folder. I tried the emulator for the sega and SNES games and neither worked for me, sorry I don't remember the names.

I got touchscreen and got the idea I can't do jack shitt with nester? ... or can I set the screen not to go on pause when I touch it with my sylus? Everytime I try to shoot a duck with duckhunt it pauses, bit anoying. I got the Mio A701, and this device doesn't have that much main buttons, so kinda hard to play a game without touchscreen.

This Program is FN awesome!!! I tried another emulator and it worked like shit... but this one works great, good sound, good game play and no freezes that ive found! The only thing its missing is the ability to flip the game so you can play it in my phones wide screen mode... but still super awesome program!!!

Great program fantastic options only complaint is I can't program the screen to convert to a horizontal and use my keyboard also does anyone know how to program the green and red phone buttons? It would be most appreciated but other than that fantastic product, puts pocketNES to shame.

Wayyyyyy better than PocketNES. It runs just as fast at 208Mhz as PocketNES runs at 624Mhz!!!! (No joke!) It also doesn't freeze like PocketNES. Obviously far superior.

I really like this emulator, it rocks! The only problem is that I can't assign the red and green phone buttons... or actually I can assign them but nothing happens when they are pressed in the games. Anyone have a solution to this problem?

Whoa! This is the best nes emulator I've seen since browsing emulators this afternoon lol. The speed if I may say so kicks ass compared to other nes emulators out there. But I have one problem. The "simultaneous button press thing", when I press two button at the same time, e.g. Mario( pressing forward and jump at the same time) the forward is still pressed or should I say stucked up. Does pocket nester have a virtual joystick or something? Any reply would be helpful, thank you!

Works like a charm. I have yet to make it crash. I have tried everything I could think of and it keeps running. Also I use the PPC as a wireless medical device running it full tilt. Pocket Nester runs in the background with no problems. Great for long experiments when I have to watch but nothing to do.
