Running PHM RegEdit. It does work. Very similar to Desktop RegEdit. Have performed performance tweaks and program pointer changes with no problems. Have had several days. I just got the HTC Pro and am tweaking....

I have this running but my changes dont seem to 'stick'. The changes I make simply revert to their originals when I restart the device.

I dl'ed the cab and copied to my phone. I got it so I can change my sliding sounds, I added a new number and added the wav files, but now I have no sliding sounds at all. How do I get them back?? Please help.

This thread helped me figure out that I had to get the cab out of the program section from my PC. The registry editor is alot easier to use compared to Total commander. I recommend it.

I did use regedit.Stngr_ARM.CAB when installing and it seems to be working OK. I've have a backup and is ready to start optimizing ;-)

Works fine on Windows Mobile 6. Install the .msi to your PC. It will try to add the software to the device through ActiveSync, but it won't actually succeed. As the post below says, manually copy the .cab file from your PC to the device and run it on the device.

It works with Windows mobile 5, Mitac Mio Digiwalker A501. Excellent job to backup the registry.

PHM Registry Editor is an old program and the desktop installer does not work on Windows Mobile 5.0. To workaround this; just copy the "regedit.Mrln_ARM.CAB" file from "C:\Program Files\PHM\PHM Registry Editor" on your desktop computer and paste it to your pda. I dwonloaded & installed. No idea how to run it. There was a Windows Icon that did change to "?" after rebooting the device, which reported :Error openning the shortcut or locateding the target filename" on my phone's screen. The editor is in my phone but no idea how to make it work! Help! Thanks

It reads that it is installed on the desktop PC, but in actuality it is not. There is no written instruction on how to install it. There is no place to find out why it isn't working or why I can't find it on my Pocket PC.

There are products out there for cleaning up your PDA, but sometimes you need a tool for getting deep inside. This tool does the job and I've had no problem with it the past year I've been using it.

This is a tool needed by all pocket pc users. It lets use edit the reg files just as uou would on a any other windows machine. I use this to simply clean out the programs I have uninstalled but where not all reg data was removed. For this itself is justice enough to download this application. As far as I know it works with atleast all iPaq Pocket PC. As I have used it on 4 different models so far all running Windows Mobile 2003.
