Airscanner Mobile Firewall for Windows Mobile Pocket PC is a low-level, bi- directional, packet filtering firewall that examines all incoming and outgoing TCP/IP traffic.

This personal firewall ensures that data is permitted based on access control lists that you select from a set of predefined filters, or from filters that you create yourself.

The firewall parses packets as they come in (or go out) on the wire or over the air, and it matches the data against a rule set of ports and IP addresses, URLs, etc.

Unlike some other products, Airscanner Mobile Firewall is not a simple port blocker or application port monitor. It is a true, full strength NDIS firewall powered by a custom-written packet driver for Windows CE .NET.

The firewall never worked with my PPC. It always disabled my SD card and it caused the PPC to freeze after a soft-reset. My guess is that the Air-Scanner Anti-virus and Firewall don't like each other!

Is a good product but as someone mentioned before the wifi connection can be lost when you use the firewall. I found that the only way around this was to initialize the wifi connection first then start the firewall. Then it seemed to work ok.

Installed on Loox720 but lost WLAN connection when firewall activated-apparently common problem with other devices as acknowledged by Airscanner (see website). Have uninstalled to regain WLAN connection :(

Really good firewall - especially good at keeping other nosey wifi/bluetooth users out of your machine!
