It really works the way like described above. DON'T uninstall via the phone, but uninstall via your desktop pc active sync program. Gone forever!

Yip, same problem - can't play audio. Thanks though to Wyco for the advice on uninstalling - had to follow this in order to remove it completely.

This uninstall process works on my Treo 750 PPC -- Install this crap again, don't check any of the files when asked, don't soft-reset your ppc just go add/remove programs check this crap and hit remove (ActiveSync's REMOVE button)... done... gone... worked for me...

This thing didn't do a thing!!! Same as the other reviews happened with me: Error in audio, didn't play movies, etc. Lucky for me, however, because I had NO problem uninstalling it. But then again I installed from my SD card and not activesync.

Don't bother! After installing this crap Media player won't work and this Pocket crap won't read any MP3 or AVI files and if it reads one out of 100 then no sound. Having hard time to uninstall this s%#$%#$ but with SKTools was able to remove from registry. Don’t waste your valuable time!

Nothing is it capable of playing on my device. Audio error. No video is recognized. Unable to uninstall. New users are advised to forget about it for not wasting time on playing with it.

Have to agree with all the other reviews. This just does not work, and will mess around with your file associations which means you cannot directly play other videos directly anymore. Does anyone have a trick to uninstall this? Please post it here!

I've just made the biggest mistake EVER by not reading the review's first! This program is crap! It doesn't play anything. It only plays the video in fullscreen and the sound? Forget about the sound, it won't play that at all. Don't even bother installing this onto your PPC because if you do, your stuck with it. I've tryed to uninstall it many times and it wont uninstall. It well just remove the program of your program's list, but then you have to go threw the explore just to try and find every file this program left behind and delete it manually, and even so, some of the files it places on your PPC gets write-protected, which means I'm stuck looking at the App on my Program's menu everytime I go into to load a program. It sucks. Stay away from this one!

Don't install PocketDivX 0.8. This program cannot play movies, you'll get "Audio error" or "Incompatible video file" even if you play Avi encoded by Divx. The worst part is that you can't uninstall it. The program requires to restart your Pocket PC after installation, which is the first sign of malicious behaviour. There is no reason for the player to install components which would require restart. It most likely installs a component which is running on the background. If you want to get support from www.divx.com you'll have to fill registration and become their customer. This is very aggressive way to sell products. DivX started as a very interesting open source alternative to Microsoft encoder and player, but it is becoming malware if you don't buy DivX products. I found Sompy player which doesn't have very nice user interface, but it is able to play almost anything and it properly stretches 16:9 and 2.35:1 video without zooming and cutting off parts of video.

Doesn't play MPeg-4 movie files. Tried to open one on my machine, and this program doesn't even show it in the file list! There doesn't seem to be any way of configuring which types of file are associated with the program. You'd be better off forking out $25 for the Core media player, which will play any multimedia file.
