Neat game but doesn't seem to work on PPC 6800 / WM6. After a point, it just keeps crashing when exiting to land. Has crashed on several other spots too.

One of the best game I have ever played... thx for sharing. But I think there are 2 bugs: 1) granade: I can read from many post that it's seems to be a common problem. 2) I tried twice but both time on 30/june/1999 at the "cost/revenue" report of end of month, the system gives back to me the message that I have -3.000.000 $ and game is over (I have more than 15.000.000 $ !!!!) :((( I cannot finish it!

Bizarely crosswired controls for joystick and mouse drag, probably because rx5915 is natively landscape. Would not respond to X key, could not stop program. Could not select first step of building base.

Great game, works a treat! One problem, it seems to crash sometimes when saving.

Almost same as original game. A true Jewel.

I've never played the original, but this is one awesome game! I love how much control you have over all the different aspects of the game.

It's an amazing game. Fun to play, easy concept, and challenging. I haven't had any problems, but it can be confusing... Definitely worth-while downloading.

This bring back fantastic memories of playing this great game at university while I should have been revising. Everything seems faithful to the original (yes, it's just as addictive) and it plays just fine. The one issue is that it seems the crash quite often, just make sure you save frequently.

Great game, great job! Period.

Loved the original! Wish you could tweak this the way you could XCOM. Couple of challenges... Prime is not an option when you have a grenade/explosive... Doesn't do you much good to throw a dead grenade... I keep getting my a$$ handed to me...

Excellent! My favorite game of the mid 90's! I've still got it running on my desktop PC for nostalgia. It's perfect for the PPC. Thank you very, very much!

***** [Oct 6, 2006] by Joyce using Acer N35
Really perfect game for the ppc. Played the game when it first was released and played it many and many times. It even runs under XP (the old game) if you set the compatibiliy mode (DOS mode) correct. But indeed, the graphics of this ppc version is even better than the pc version. Even the AI is better. Really good job of the programmers. Excellent game for little breaks.

Reminds me of my childhood. Completed the game in almost 1yr game time. going to replay it again soon. Btw, how do u prime the grenades?
***** [Sep 25, 2006] by ProFile using Qtek 9090
This is the best, I even bought a old x386 to play this game again, but now I can play it on my PPC; a dream came true :-) MUCH thanks to the developers for there good job and to keep it free (I would even pay for) now and about the granades; how do you "prime" them? Cause all that happens when I trow them is a small blue circle around them and they don't explode... but alien nades are better anyway :-p
***** [Sep 25, 2006] by ProFile using Qtek 9090
I couldnt believe it when i saw this!! i even bought a pentium 1 to play this game again cause i wouldnt play on xp and now its here for my ppc!! great thanks to the makers!! this is my no.1 game back in those days

To Jason: You must PRIME grenades before they will explode, you can choose how many turns until they will explode. After you've primed, don't forget to save enough unit points to throw if its 1 turn ;)
***** [Jun 12, 2006] by Jason using ppc
Very cool game,The only thing I could find wrong with it is when you throw a grenade it doesn't explode. Could some body please help me with that.

I wasted many years of my childhood playing this game on an old dos platform, now I can waste many years of my young adulthood playing this game on my new iPAQ! Unfortunately I have found 2 bugs: - Game crashes when grenades are thrown. Temporary fix: sell grenades. - Display doesn't change when in landscape mode, but the buttons don't work. Temporary fix: Must perform soft reset and change to portrait mode to play. These bugs may be related to my processor: 600MHz Intel(R) PXA270. I'll try it on my sister's Cingular 2845 to be sure. The original game had roll over explinations for all buttons, but you can't roll over buttons with a stylus, which makes this game difficult for those who don't already know what the buttons do. Purhaps they should include a tutorial with labeled screen shots of toolbars. Other than that, this game is awesome. Even better graphics than the original, and they didn't butcher it like XCOM Apocolypse did... Oh, and the aliens killed half my soldiers at the start of the first mission, because 2 sectoids were waiting at the tail of my plane with plasma pistols. And the rest were killed by a grenade at the entrance to the UFO... REALLY smart AI... Oh, and the menu that pops up when you press the stylus for a few seconds in missions uses release events rather than click, so if you press and hold the center of the screen, the menu will pop up below your stylus, and any movement of the stylus will activate the button that popped there, regardless of what you wanted. So I allways scroll the screen so where I'm selecting will not be covered by the menu.

Look in the upper right hand corner. Drop menu has an option for English.

Amazing recreation of X-Com Enemy Unknown. Could be very hard to learn for anyone who isn't familiar with the original game. The game runs very fast, and the enemy AI is EXCELLENT (too good ;) ) High praise to the authors, and much respect for keeping it freeware. I bought the original on the Amiga, but I would pay for this as well :)

A very, VERY sexy-looking port! Along with the good old UFO music and it being freeware it's simply amazing! Outstanding job, really.

As far as I can tell, a perfect port of XCOM. I sure hope that its become abandonware, as I'd hate something this quality get stomped on archaic copyrights.
***** [Jan 25, 2006] by Bill using Ipaq 6365
Amazing port of the game. Brings back old memories of playing the game on PC and makes me wonder what other games could, or should, be redeveloped for the PDA market. And best of all - its free!!!!
