Description:
A Pocket PC port of the famous Falling Sand game.
It is a simple yet addicting little game: there are no rules or goals, but you have to be sure the imagination is your only one limit.
Note:
This build is still a development version, so you could expect some bugs coming up: also, you are encouraged to report any malfunction.
The installer is a Windows-desktop one: once launched, the usual "Add/Remove" programs window of the WindowsCE manager will appear and you should just follow the on-screen instructions.
Update Description:
v0.8.3:
- A few improvements and features.
v0.82:
- This version should run slightly faster than the previous one and hopefully rather good on most of the VGA devices: also it should work on WM5 devices too.
- Switched VGA approach: it will be handled only by using RawFrameBufferInfo information.
- It appears the WM5-platform runtime library implements the "rand()" function differently than on the WM2003/SE one, and also noticeably slower. This has been substituted with a "Mersenne Twister" random number generator (ref. "M. Matsumoto and T. Nishimura, 'Mersenne Twister: A 623-Dimensionally Equidistributed Uniform Pseudo-Random Number Generator', ACM Transactions on Modeling and Computer Simulation, Vol. 8, No. 1, January 1998, pp 3-30.").

Very fun, I loved the PC version and got this as soon as I saw it. I love the interface, looks very good. Only complaint is the battery draining.

This is awesome it works perfectly. However, you need to fix the steam the output it should be the same as the input of water.

The program and physics work great, but about an inch on the left side won't show up, so I can't use the controls or water..

It's excellent program! I am using it every day!

Works great on the htc 4350, but it uses a lot of processing power so it'll eat the battery alive.

Works great! One of my favorite games on the computer, I was pretty happy to see it on pocket pc! The battery drain doesn't seem to affect my iPAQ much, so I'm pretty happy with it.

Its asome! But my only complaint is that it drains the battery really fast. I wish you could save what you have done so you can load it again.

Does not load on Dell Axim X30. Flickers program title on the command bar and disappears.

It DOES work just fine on x50v, but you will have to turn the GAPI tweak to OFF (this is the only software I've encountered where this is so). It also drains the battery quite quickly.

Works for about 3 seconds and then completly froze it. Had to remove the battery to get to work again, program seems really cool and I would love for it to work, maybe even on my pc!

This guy said it won't work on his Axim. Well, this guy is also using a Dell. Dell PPCs do not support a lot of programs (WM5) and I am not fond of them. Worked good for me.

None of the controls were responsive, and the program froze my Axim and required a soft reset to get out of. Not quite ready for prime time yet, at least on my Axim.
