It is odd that the arrow keys are disabled. Also, when entering/editing a title/description, the Enter key inserts a newline (odd, how often do you need a newline in a title?), the OK key exits the document, and the Tab key inserts a tab. In short there's no way to "accept" the new title and/or move to the next item using the keyboard so you need to click the item w/ stylus.

Aside from these few niggles, it seems to be a very well designed and thought-out program. It allows intuitive drag-and-drop reordering, expanding/collapsing items, etc. It's almost perfect in UI regards with the exception of these few minor issues. They have certainly thought out the small-form-factor usage instead of just duplicating an app for a small device.

If they can make it so I can do everything with the hardware keys and leave the stylus in its holder I'd be completely pleased.

ReenSoft's Outliner is an interesting and versatile program, but with some serious drawbacks:
1) The hardware cursor keys are deactivated, except when editing a text item, so they can't be used for scrolling or navigating through an outline.
2) No font selection is available, so the display is a bit hard to read, especially on a VGA device.
3) The program's document list is incorrectly displayed on my Dell Axim x51v, due to its VGA display.
4) Column widths in an outline can be adjusted by dragging the column borders in the header, but the response to that often fails, because the exact spot on the column border is unusually hard to find with the stylus.
