The software uses VMC Controller to connect to Windows Media Center, enabling basic control of the following functions, as well as displaying media info (see screenshots below):
- Menu navigation.
- Play/pause, next/previous, skip/rewind.
- Volume control.
- Playback position seeking.
- TV channel up/down.
- Entering text for searching through media lists.

As its still in the beta stage, there will be bugs, so it need testers to trial it on their handsets, providing feedback and suggestions.
This latest release adds support for handsets with QWERTY hardware keyboards, which can now be used to search for items in Media Center. Support for media extenders and multiple PCs are in development, and may be included in a future release.

Instruction:
- Download and install VMC Controller (see links below).
- Download and install WMCRC 0.7b.cab on your handset.
- Connect phone to PC using Wifi, or activesync connection.
- Run Windows Media Center.
- Launch the "Windows Media Center" from your start menu.
- Wait for a list of computers to appear.
- Select computer from list then hit "connect".
- Start controlling!

- Improve interface (especially QVGA scaling).
- Improve searching performance.
- Add media extender support.
- Add option to stop handset from entering standby mode while connected.

- Windows Vista or 7 editions with Windows Media Center.
- VMC Controller.
- Wifi, Bluetooth/USB activesync connection.
- Windows Mobile 6.x Pro, [may work on older versions].
- 480x800 (WVGA) screen resolution.
- .NET CF v3.5 installed on handset.

- Now says " connected" message when connected to media center instead of IP address/port.
