Description:
Enter your destination Mobile # and Message and select a Date/Time, then Add the Scheduled SMS, and when the time to send the SMS is due, it will send the SMS Automatically. (Even when your PPCPE is on Suspend Mode)
Here's a short tutorial on how to use RaHSMS II:
- Install RaHSMS_PPC_ARM.CAB.
- Run RaHSMS by clicking on the RaHSMS icon in your programs.
- Insert your schedules into the database by clicking on "Start > Add Schedule."
- Edit the date to be sent in this format (yyyy-MM-dd HH:mm:ss) where HH is in 24 hours format. The default date is 10 mins later. Fill in the destination mobile number and message. Recurring is NOT working yet so you cannot edit it. As for Type, you can choose to want to send a SMS OR an ALERT to yourself. In the case of an ALERT, it can also function as a test for your scheduled SMS to see if it works without wasting your SMSs. :D
- Click on Insert to store the schedule.
- If needed, you can EDIT or DELETE the schedule manually by clicking on "Start > Edit Schedule" or "Start > Delete Schedule" respectively.
- After entering your schedules, SMS is still NOT scheduled until you select the SMS u want to schedule and click on "Start > Confirm Schedule". PLEASE NOTE that once u confirmed a scheduled SMS, you will not be able to delete or edit it. You can only edit/delete the entry from the database. (Confused?)
- After confirming all the SMSs u want to be confirmed ;), you can safely quit the application by clicking "Start > Quit". Note that RaHSMS II does NOT need to be running for SMS to be sent.
- Schedule away! :)
Limitations of this version as followed:
- Cannot removed scheduled sms.
- Software tested under Windows Mobile 5.0 using a HTC Universal (Dopod900).
- Scheduling a SMS is a 2 step process rather than a straight forward manner.
- After scheduled SMS is sent, database entry is NOT removed, but it can be removed manually.
- SMS sent is NOT stored anywhere.
- Error checking/Quality control of software NOT performed (it's an alpha :)).
- There are bugs!
