Description:
The Infrared Dialer is a Pocket Outlook extension that provides support for dialing phone numbers directly from Pocket Outlook. The tool is especially designed for mobile phones as it is not using a tone dialing mechanism but utilizes the common infra-red interfaces of PDAs and mobile phones for dialing.
To use this tool your PDA and your phone should have IrDA ports. The mobile phone needs also a built-in modem. Some older Nokia models have IrDA but no modem built-in. These won't work.
The dialer version 1.1 introduced a "compatibility mode" which shoul eliminate dialing problems with some phones. Phones that worked with version 1.0 should turn this mode ON. Just try both settings with your mobile.
How to use it:
Open the Pocket Outlook context menu for the desired contact via Tap-n-Hold. Then select Dial with mobile. A new window appears, containing up to three phone numbers of this specific contact. Enable the IR-Port of the mobile and select a number to dial. The mobile should then start dialing.
