Some users have had problems with Inbox or the Today screen displaying "-1" unread messages, or displaying 1 or more unread messages when, in fact, there are none. This utility will detect and repair these discrepencies.

It's not flashy, but it does the job :)

This (1 unread) text error has been bugging me for months and I didn't want to hard reset the phone. I also didn't want to mess around with registry editors or programs where I have to be a tech. This program is fantastic! Simple and easy. I just used my phones web browser to navigate to this page and downloaded the program. I have received several texts while writing this review and after reading the text messages it now shows "No unread messages" in my today screen... Brilliant!

I first encountered this problem in May 2007 and called Verizon and Palm and they were completely useless. All they kept telling me was that a hardset would solve the problem. Everyone who has had to do a hard reset knows what a painful procedure and a waste of time that is. I did the hard reset and spent one day restoring all my applications and settings. Today I encounter the same phantom text message problem. I literally hit the roof. For some divine reason I was led to this website. I downloaded this program (you have to execute it from your pda device) and it solve the problem without a hard or soft reset. The author of this program and this website are tech heroes. Kudos.

The first time I ran it, it reported success, but my Inbox seemed to not change. It turned out that I had to close and re-open the Inbox program (Start->Settings->System->Memory->Running Programs->Inbox->Stop) before it reloaded the database and reflected the fixed count. Worked like a champ! Can't beat the price!

Yep! Exactly like the author claims. Not fancy, but it does the job, and does it well! For about 4 months now I've been perplexed by my "-6" unread messages. I copied this executable to my PPC, ran it, and now it's fixed, quick and simple! It parses your mail folders, and corrects any mis-reported message counts. Fast too. Thanks!!
