Description:
Crimson Fields is a tactical war game in the tradition of Battle Isle. The outcome of the war lies in your hands. You decide which units are sent to the front lines, and when to unleash the reserves.
Your mission objectives range from defending strategically vital locations to simply destroying all enemy forces in the area.
Protect supply convoys or raid enemy facilities to uncover technological secrets or fill your storage bays so you can repair damaged units or build new ones in your own factories.
Lead your troops to victory!
Known problem:
You have to start the game in portrait display mode, but the game has a built-in landscape mode.

Not possible to use any of the keys in the program. It wouldnt allow me to quit. It lacks a manual or a helpfile.

Unplayable because: even if one manages to map one key binding (right click emulated by main button to open game menu), one stops in the 3d mission where a right click on a unit is necessary : no other keybindings work :( It's a pity because the game seems to be nice

Runs fine off an SD card. I did the "key binding" technique (see 2/2/07 review) and was able to get the game menu and proceed to turn 2. I love the Battle Isle and History Line games. So, I look forward to playing this on my PDA. It is an excellent game to play on a small screen.

I couldn't indicate that my move had finished - probably some problem with mapping the hardware buttons - so it was unplayable.

A game with potential. Considering the version of the game (v0.5.1) is still below v1.0, the glitches can be overlooked.

Great game. I managed to access the ingame menu without "right clicking". After running Crimson fields, go to "Options"->"Keybinding". Select "Game Menu" and then assign it to a hotkey (I could only assign it to the center of the touchpad). This should allow you to play the game.

This game's great, but it has a major glitch. Because of the setup, you can't possibly play it without a keyboard connected to the usb port. This is a problem bacause most people don't have one. Even then you have to set up which keys to use. It works fine on smartphones, though, seeing they have keyboards.

Unclear directions. No apparent controls or exit in tutorial. Directions say to right-click. On a PPC ?

It instantly locks up on my iPaq. Looks like a nice game though.
